    Ultimo 4K with HDMI 1.4 TV/AVR

    Hi,
does anyone has a 4K-Box (I tested Solo 4K and Ultimo 4K) with a TV or AVR which only has HDMI 1.4 (4K only with 24/25/30Hz)? Could you test the following:
connect to box with telnet and then:

    cd /proc/stb/video
    echo 2160p25 >videomode

Normal 4K mode is either 2160p50 or 2160p60 which older 4K devices cannot handle. With the telnet commands the box will be set to 2160p25 which might work. My Samsung showed that the box delivers 2160p25 but the question is still are there more differences between HDMI 2 and 1.4. If this trick works (someone sees a picture in 4K from the box) maybe the format 2160p25 and 2160p30 should be available in video settings to select.

    ciao
