Should ch 4 HD be encrypted?

As title says, I would have thought it was a free to air channel, it appears not?

Here's the list of freesat channels: -

    Code:
    http://www.freesat.co.uk/index.php?page=whatson.Main&PHPSESSID=elo9a65a5656lv37ttks4p1br7
So of them will be encrypted on sky's transponders, so you will need to find them on another transponder.

    Just tried.

Still no luck Just the two Ch4 HD channels being listed, both encrypted.

Even went thorough all the channels at the beginning with numbers instead of names, on the off chance one of them was ch4 HD

Thanks, have my old Thompson Sky HD box in the attic, pretty sure it has the white card in (only stopped using it last September), so maybe that would work, or do I still need to pay sly a one off payment to receive the freesat stuff?

no, if you have a sky white card, that is by default a freesat card
just update entitlements and you can decode channel 4 HD
