As title says, I would have thought it was a free to air channel, it appears not?

i think it needs a freesat card (like normal SD channel 4)
oh yea my bad, i confused with channel 5 maybe,
but there is one of the channel that i thought was free to air until my sky card was taken out and i realised it was freesat infact
Here's the list of freesat channels: -
So of them will be encrypted on sky's transponders, so you will need to find them on another transponder.Code:http://www.freesat.co.uk/index.php?page=whatson.Main&PHPSESSID=elo9a65a5656lv37ttks4p1br7

Thanks, have my old Thompson Sky HD box in the attic, pretty sure it has the white card in (only stopped using it last September), so maybe that would work, or do I still need to pay sly a one off payment to receive the freesat stuff?
no, if you have a sky white card, that is by default a freesat card
just update entitlements and you can decode channel 4 HD
