I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling this bad today.
Had a call this morning to say that there was still no stock of the VU+ , and that delivery of my pre order "could" take another couple of weeks.
Normally I wouldn't be too fussed and just carry on, but for some reason this is getting to me.
It's been ages since I bought myself any new toys and I spent so long deciding on what I thought would be the right box for me.
I was like a kid counting down to christmas and now I just been told there is no Santa !
So, all you guys sitting waiting for your pre ordered VU+ this week, I feel your pain.
Right, Sicilian, PM me your home address please, I'm moving in with you ;D

Aye, google dragged that up for me earlier. Spose if he finds someone desperate enough it will sell.
At the average price of ?400 for the VU+ he's taking ?135 for the hard drive and another ?25 postage, not greedy at all

Hi Chunky.
It is possible to set up your dish without receiver but it takes a bit more work.
When I installed my dish and motor I hadn't touched anything sat related for over 10 years. I had my DM600 and a small cheap sat meter.
I managed to get the dish about 99% spot on without connecting the receiver.
Depends on your site I guess but at least doing your dish will give you something to work on while waiting for your new receiver.

Dont do what i did get the box and then wait for the dish to get fitted. That was crewl on me.

I even powere up the box just to take a look. Had it flashed several times with out the having of the dish.

Still reeling from the phone call this morning, I was restless.

Just to make you a little more excited, I had mine recording 4HD channels and watching a 5th HD channel at the weekend They where spread over 2 transponders on the same satellite.
