    Well, there have been no Vix updates today. The last Vix update Release was ~ a month ago

    Are you instead saying, you have flashed/installed openvix 6.3 007 and restored settings and it is not booting? If so, something in your restore is probably causing this. Best you start enigma2 in console mode and upload what it says. This will reveal the problem.

    Using Putty or similar, issue following commands
    init 4
    enigma2

    Just for reference, to restart it normally
    init 4
    init 3

    Sorry, not sure what has caused this. The last commit/change to language.py is newer than your image.
    Code:

    Might be related to the bigger jump you have done from 6.3 003 to 6.3 007. Unless someone has a solution, it might be an idea to flash newest image again. It has been out for over a month, so if there was something significantly wrong, we would be inundated with reports. Sorry, I couldn't offer a better solution. I am in no way dismissing the problem you have experienced.

    You can flash by command line using grog's script to avoid the USB stick faffing about.
    Code:
    wget --no-check-certificate -O installvix.sh https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/hc2cdr116lvx3dj/install_vix.sh && bash installvix.sh

    Just to add, after you flash and it reboots, you will be offered the option to restore settings and plugins. This would have been made the last time you did a software update. It should be fine restoring settings and plugins. If not, reflash again, but don't restore after it reboots.

    I'm more intrigued by this line:

    He performed a software update. He did not flash/install the newest image. The restoration is therefore not applicable.

    @X5 - so I can see the issue (and hopefully the attachment will fix the issue), just cannot understand how this has not caused an issue before now.

    Please delete the .py file you had transferred. The recreated .pyc file which had used the .py file you sent over will remain. This is so that any future updates to the file are are not undone.
