Automatic upgrade

Hi,
I have a home automation that starts a shell script on my boxes each monday to upgrade the image. Now I noticed that there was no upgrade for a few weeks. I looged into a receiver to look what happens and I get an error/warning "installing paket would break dependencies" and nothing is upgraded. Is there a way to prevent this so that the script continues maybe without this package?

What package? THe easiest way to clear that type of error is flash and restore.

ich know that but it is quite some work with 4 STBs that was the reason I created an automatic update which I trigger through my home automation.

But with backup, upgrade, restore it is done in 15 Minutes max.

btw. it was something with dvdread

Hi Huevos,
this will not help. Some of my receivers are not online for several days/weeks. With my automation I witch on a power plug and then do an update.

btw. you are right it was not a good idea to mess around. I uninstalled the problematic package and after that the receiver did not come up again. Yesterday I updated all manually.
