No Signal to TV

I directed my friend to the sponsors website to buy the formular f1 in January, but due to conflicting work schedule between us, I couldn’t get around to help him set up the box.
We both had day off today, so he brought the box round to mine, we unpacked the box, connected to the tv and powered on the box, it boots with the “Formular” on the display but no signal on TV.

We have changed 4 different HDMI cables and swapped TV’s but still no signal, I logged onto my BB router and its showing as connected to the home network however all my attempts to access the box via FTP failed, I can telnet into the box
I have also tried to USB flash the box but no luck, im now scratching my head on what next to do as its now beyond the 14 days return.
Any help will be very much appreciated
