    ViX is working on my ET10000 with these patches for almost a week. No crashes, very stable.
    I tried to modify as little as possible, but I'm no expert.

    This diff changes more code than just picking up the "connection speed" for m3u8 (.hls) and omits some of the .hls code.
    As pointed out in another thread, Servicemp3 has been heavily re-written by ATV and has been just changed again recently, so would have thought that just the m3u8(.hls) code would have been sufficient - I am not knocking the change (after all I have Christophecvr's changes in my ViX clone), its just how far you need to go.

    It didn't compile for me with lesser changes. As I said - I'm no expert.
    Please provide a patch for ViX yourself.

    There is nothing wrong with the rest of your original diff, except that it is just part of a big update that handles more than just m3u8.
