    Available Satellites

Hers a question for anyone who watches programs from satellites other than the Astra 28.2E.

With things closing down on Sly I am thinking of re-aligning my fixed dish to another satellite. I have considered hooking up a motorised setup to my dish but have decided not to go down that route.

I live in the NE of England and currently have a Zone 2 dish (80CM x 60CM).

My question is out of the satellites that are available to me which one would be the best to align my dish to in order to receive the most free channels.

The highest number of free to air channels in English would be available from Astra 28.2. Most other satellites would not carry significant numbers of English language channel free to air.

There used to be thousands of FTA channels throughout the receivable arc in the uk and most had the original english audio track. There is still a good selection of channels available but f it's English content you want none come close to what's available on 28.2 east.

Best thing I can recommend is you go to
    Code:
    kingofsat.net
and have a look at what's available with a quick FTA search.

Before the wotsat magazine shut up shop it had exactly this kind of list of FTA channels receivable in the uk.
