The Vu+ Ultimo 4K is a fantastic receiver, the Le Creme of Le Creme of receivers with the added beauty of the FBC (Full Band Capture) tuners. Also supported by ViX which is a massive bonus whereas the DM brand are not.

If you want an excellent receiver that comes in between the DM900 and Ultimo4K take a look at the VU+ Solo4K http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/VU/VU-Plus-Solo-4K

Depends ..... and really would you see any difference?
Both the Vu+ boxes use chips from the same Broadcom family, except one is 4 core (running at 1500 MHz), and the other 2 core (running at 1700).
So depends on whether the tasks can make use of the higher clock speed and how well E2 (linux) can multitask.

You do see improved speeds comparing some of the Mips boxes to Arm, but between the Arm boxes, probably in the eye of the beholder!

Better off comparing features and what you need.

The Vu+ Ultimo 4K is the best receiver on the market. Comes at a price but well worth it.

If you need/want FBC tuners, then for the next few weeks Vu+ is a good choice, from June there may be
    better value alternatives

    which to choose

lol. You get what you pay at the end of the day. The Vu+ Ultimo 4K is an absolute quality receiver.
I still like my Mut@nt HD2400 out the Mips receivers, another quality one that.

Where does the Vu+ Duo 2 fit into this list? I bought mine thinking it was the best, now I'm thinking I should have gone for one of the previously mentioned on here :/
