vu+ duo sticking at start up,vix keeps spinning

Hi sorry to sound like a noob but been inside for the last 4 1/2 years so just getting back into it.
Come home Vu+ hasn`t worked for a few years, wife aint got a clue. Fired up the old bird with a new vix image on flash drive usb.
Everything ok remove, reboot, restart, then the start up with spinning vix. Read forum tried new bootloader off vix website still the same.
Even tried old version 3 vix, same result. Ftp in to it, all seems ok, cleared hdd just incase still nothing.
Any ideas, would like to get a new 4K version but will have to wait till I`m flush ,so will have to try to get this back up.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

Sounds as if you have just the problem that I described in the next thread down. I'm just waiting for some capacitors to arrive so that I can try the cure suggested there.

Great idea, not. Just changed the 807 capacitor, twice!, now I've got the red light of death. Swapped it for a 330µf 35v capacitor as recommended, first one could have got too hot as soldering iron was not melting right but second one went better. Will try again when I get my new iron.
