Why is this behaviour? Now I see you mention config files for OpenViX should be in /var/tuxbox/config, would it make difference?
try outtung the files in var/etc/tuxbox/config. once there activate cam and restart box

I checked my box and var is pointing at /etc/. Oscam works in /etc/tuxbox/config.

I wish ViX team would put popular cams in the feed so we don't have to manually add things and thus risk something goes wrong...

I don't know what's on other boxes (Vu, Dreambox etc) but this is what I see on my SF4008. Oscam-pcscd-latest and Oscam-latest. I installed Oscam-latest. Which one, if any, is oscam-emu?

Anyway what I'd like to see is Mgcam, Ncam and maybe Cccam. I know this Octagon model is new, maybe more cams will be available later. I am really not good with Linux so any addons on the feed is highly appreciated.

That's because the SF4008 has an ARM processor and only Oscam and Ncam work for ARM processors.

You can't use cccam or mgcamd and it's unlikely you will as these cams are no longer being maintained

one of the admins did put mgcamd and another softcam arm on this forum. but not sure how to setup. Oscam is far superior to mgcamd and cccam.

you need to use oscam latest and setup your config files to your card.

looks like you have plenty of reading to do

Hi, I have openatv, I will install openvix when I have the time.
My problem is that oscam 11329 it's not working properly, don't know what It is but for the third time stopped working. Uninstalled and installed Ncam, rename the oscam files to ncam and placed them in the var/keys folder but once I restart the box, nothing comes up as Cam when I press the blue button.
Reinstalled the Oscam 11329 and works again but only one card not the second one.

No Mgcamd or Cccam available for ARM receivers. You need to learn Oscam.

Hehe, ok fair enough. But they could have made Ncam available since many says it is better than Oscam. It feels safer something downloaded from official feed than try install something found on internet. And I agree with Joe, I have some reading to do I used Dreambox for 7 years but this Octagon is different.

I find that hard to believe. Oscam has been rock solid for me.
