playback slow motion when fast forward

When i record something and the come to watch it if i skip forward or fast forward once play is resumed it plays in slow motion or lags for about 10 seconds before catching up and resuming to normal play. Any reason for this? Is it the HDD perhaps?I never had this problem on my old vu plus. It happens with every recording and on any skip speed

Very same problem here with same box. HDD fitted when box supplied by sponsor. Also audio out of sync at same time.

I get the same issue with the same box for about 5 seconds. Don't think it's the hard drive as I record to SSD. Didn't see this with the Miraclebox so maybe an ET8500 'feature'?

For what it's worth, mine does exactly the same - just assumed it was "normal”.

I also note that sometimes it takes several seconds to actually stop playing a recording and bump you back to the list when I press "stop"?

If the program list is slow to appear when you first display it, it'll be slow to show when you stop playback.

It takes more time to display when the number of recordings gets longer.

i will connect my ET850 up and test this out as i can only have 4 Receivers running at the same time, but mine was recording and playing back perfect before i disconnected it running the latest ViX 4.2.030 Release

i will have to connect it up later as i forgot that i have Recordings going on my ET10k and with them using the same model remote controls the ET850 might interfere with the ET10k

This happened to me on my xtrend 8500, thought at first it was the HDD but ran some tests and found HDD to be fine, it all comes down to when xtrend updated the driver for the tuners, i am using the original driver when i first got the box and this solved the problem. Also solved the problem of blocky picture whilst recording channel 4 HD & channel 5 HD. Hope this helps.
