    Hello
If you upload your crash log, it might help. Default location is /home/root/logs/

I think that's where the issue may be. The provider files have been updated along with python files. The update config files option only downloads the provider files and the new provider files are referring to new code that is in the new python files

Here is backed up copy. Replace the existing version on your receiver, te extracted folder goes in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins

Replace means overwrite, not delete then transfer.

If the above works would there be any chance of the update config files to include py or pyo files in the future?

No. There should have been a version bump so this couldn't happen. Anyway it is bumped now.
