Is it possible to view HD channels anymore ??

    Hello All,

I have a legit sub and use my STB becuase it is beter than the boxes provided by suppliers. However, we keep getting squeezed and all the Premium HD channels cannot be viewed, not even BT Sports anymore.

Now I am really slow on the take up, is there any way that will allow viewing of these channels with my legit sub / card.

    Thanks,

    FP.

Not with your current card. All premium HD is down with a UK satellite card.

HD is still available with cable, but to be able to use your own cable card in an enigma2 box you need specialised technical equipment.

glad you asked this, flyingpig,i came on here to find out the same thing

i was sent a video today of a zgemma star2 with sd and hd channels, to me it looks like the hd are streaming
the layout is sd channel with the hd underneath ill put a pic on what they sent me2b710b8f-7fc1-462c-87c8-825d78654a45.jpg5fd49180-0600-4625-b7f1-e16bb73f2348.jpg10ad52ba-e904-4ede-80bf-a548908e2452.jpgdf99f29a-3086-4180-b1e0-a42fa736f935.jpg

from the videos they sent me the normal sd comes straight on and the hd take maybe 3-5 seconds to come on
so im assuming they are streaming

sorry if ive broken any rules posting them pics

looking at the channel selection screen that you've shown there, it appears they are more than likely an IPTV Channel, yes; because it is incredibly difficult to show the EPG on an IPTV channel with engima2 (beleive me i've tried!!) - and if you look at all of the HD channels in that picture, none of the HD channels have one - Also with the first picture the infobar is displayed, which is blank pointing to it being IPTV channel

There is no way your friend is watching HD services from a genuine card from Sky; as it's not compatible on enigma2 to decode the HD channels

It does work on Cable still, but as timofee has stated, it's not that straightforward

We really should not be discussing this here but i know the pirates sell a shitty zgemma box that has a sat tuner and a cable tuner.
But, try and get support from these guys, like ask why you are not getting epg for the cable channels.
Then ask why after a few days your gift aint working.
Then come here and get no support what so ever and then realise you have wasted your money.
