    Crashing on Record

Unable to record any programs when I press the record button I then get the 5 options to record, but on pressing options 1-4 the machine reboots.

    < 27603.516> [RecordTimer] start recording

Stop enigma2 with "init 4" command. Delete what you do not need. Most probably EPG or one of the IPTV plugins is cause.

You shouldn't be recording to root as a starting point you need to use internal and or external hard drive. This will just keep happening until you use my suggestion, generally most receivers have limited root memory available over an above what is used for the image et al
Vix image (usually latest) - VU Solo 4K- WD 1TB INTERNAL HDD - DVB-T Freeview, trialling IPTV options

If it's EPG, you will find EPG.dat in /etc/enigma2

I found epg.dat but it appears to be on the hard drive

    root@vusolo2:~# ls -lhrt /media/hdd/epg.dat
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9.1M May 17 19:32 /media/hdd/epg.dat

    Run:

    Code:
    find / -xdev -type f -size +10000k
and look at what gets reported.
If nothing gets reported, lower that 10000 by 50% until something is....

Are you running backups/image backups to /media/usb without actually having a USB stick inserted?

After I deleted some files I didn't have any channels at all, so I restored back to 17th April the last time I had to do anything with the box, all now works & there now appears to be space

    root@vusolo2:~# df -k
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
    ubi0:rootfs 199436 129608 69828 65% /

    tmpfs 64 0 64 0% /media
    tmpfs 286244 744 285500 0% /var/volatile
    /dev/sda1 976559616 92784128 882726912 10% /media/hdd

But it would be good to know what is filling it up, is there a command I can run that will show my files that have been written today so I can run it daily & see what is getting larger?

And did you then reboot it? Or restart the GUI?
If so, the problem may be caused by deleted files which some process still has open (so the disk-space doesn't get freed even though it has been "deleted").

Your first find only found 2 files >10MB.

I just restored & at the end the system restarted, not sure whether that was a full reboot or just the GUI, but I did do a power off/on earlier in the day before posting
