    Question Fan Control Xtrend ET8500?!

    Hello members
Just our of curiosity really, but the fan on my Xtrend ET8500 - Is it supposed to be on constantly even when set to auto?
I assumed that when cool enough it would turn itself off?

Woke up this morning, went downstairs and it was still going.......

Have tried same settings but have not noticed any difference as in I can still hear fan constantly.System temperature always reads 36° when ever I check so am not sure if that is too high or O.K.Am wary of lowering initial fan speed too much

I have my initial fan speed turned down so its just under the last n in extensioNs and its not been an issue for my boxes.
If its too low the system temp check will push it up..... but have only noticed it when our temps were consistently over 35 C last year

Fan is constantly on even under 40º using these settings on my setup.Have changed to fan-off,which is less annoying.Have put notebook cooler underneath which is silent compared to et8500 fan(temp stays too low to kick in). Will try swapping stock fan with Noctau 40mm but would anyone know voltage of stock fan 5v or 12v?

I set mine to off in standby. Takes approx 2-3 mins to switch off once in standby.
