    Trying to load recordings crashes

    Hi guys,

    Vu Solo2
    Vix 3.2 037

When I try to load my recordings my box crashes. It looks like it's trying to load a network location that doesn't exist...the last time I was in the menu I was trying to browse up to a level that wasn't mapped.

I've tried numerous reboots, resetting the default record location (has always been local hdd) and removed and remapped my NAS mount. Always this menu tries to load a null location.

I can't load the recordings menu and change the location (yellow button) fast enough before it crashes. Can I change a setting via FTP?

Any help much appreciated as I'm a bit stuffed not being able to view recordings/NAS videos

    Cheers,
    B

If you tried to delete the 2 files mentioned, you will probably have to stop enigma first using telnet and running the command 'init 4'.
Take a backup and then delete the files and then restart enigma with 'init 3'

My memory is that somewhere between your old version and the current one this issue was fixed.

The issue was fixed on 10/2/2016. Latest images finally have the fix for this long standing bug. Best to create a settings backup, flash latest image and then restore your settings/plugins.

If you do not want to, you can avert the problem with the instructions in following post:

You could try editing the file /etc/enigma2/settings and edit out any references you find to the network share. Make sure you take a backup of the file just in case.
