    IPTV Recording

In the description of the new 4.1 image there is a line saying IPTV recording is a new feature. Can anyone tell me how to achieve this ?

put an IPTV channel in your favorites, switch to this channel and press record. It works for most IPTV channel.

Highlight the IPTV channel, then press menu, then add service to bouquet, and add to favourites. Simples.

    Hi,
most easiest way I think is the PC program DreamboxEdit to edit your favorites and there is an option to add streans.

    Hi,
If you have an IPTV service that allows you only one device at the time, then Can you now watch and record at the same time?.
In previous versions,it seems that watching and recording the same channel required the box to receive two times the iptv stream content, instead of just recording on the fly only one stream (the used to watch). Is this now working?

What kind of iptv sreams can be now played? Http stream, rtmp? Are All iptv types supported?
    Thanks

I have tried openvix4.2 to record an iptv premium channel using a testing account and it doesn“t work. If i go to the movies folder i find the file but the time recorded is ZERO.
It seems that you need two subscriptions to watch and record the same channel because gstreamer doesn“t allow you to record the watched channel on the fly. Do you have another explanation?
The type of premium channel was

    #SERVICE 4097:0:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3A//blablablablbalba/blaba/blabla.mkv

I thought that 4097 channels were already supported.

I have tried with other open-free channels with openvix4.2 at it seems to work without problems.
Another explanation, is that gstreamer and openvix4.2 need some kind of buffer from the server. If the server doesn“t provide you that then they are not able to record even on the fly watching channels.

    Thanks

By the way record in "normal" service stream types don“t work either using premium pay server with one subscription. The recorded file has ZERO time.
