Maybe because it has rf modulator output and reportedly and an amazing tuner, a guy i know who does motorised installs swears by this box and has a garage full ready to be pushed on to his customers, he reckons this box scans in more channels than any box he has ever seen, thousands and thousands so he says, he is always tweaking his own dish trying to break his own personal blind scan record, but then he doesn't have a wife.

Welcome, like Andy said why this receiver? All you can do is plug it in and watch it, you won't need any help from us with it.
Your "guy" is talking nonsense.
It's a closed source receiver, you can't install any plugins or skins to it.
Get yourself a decent enigma2 receiver you won't regret it.

For a non e2 linux receiver the TM-5402 is rock solid. Basic, but does what it says on the tin. @ DaM it has got a very good blindscan.

i dont understand why you say its not good my friends got one from a guy whose making a bomb selling this box just plugging a usb in and downloading a channel list and maybe something else and watches every sky channel

Yeah but my e2 receiver automatically updates my channel list every morning (lots of channels changes happening at the moment), and you have to manually update yours via usb. Backwards technology if you ask me. lol
