Any central heating engineers?

My boiler has on its way out - three breakdowns in two weeks.

I am looking at either the Valiant pro 28 or WB 30I. I am inclined towards the WB as it has a bigger water flow and heating Khw.

Will be powering 11 rads and BTU is around 60K.

Any personal recommendation for which is better boiler?

As a rule of the thumb 2kw per rad. Most houses 28 or 30kw is enough.

Go for the boiler with the better flow rate but have a look at vaillant ecotec plus 831. Cant compare a 28kw with a 30kw

The higher the kw rating the better the flow rate.

My boiler choice is vaillant as its easy to work on whereas worcesters are designed to be not engineer friendly lol

Gone for the Worcester Bosch 30i erp. Has more Kw and HW flow. My 242 has given long service but friends have had recent vaillant and not been too impressed. Also the 7 year warranty was appealing.
