    Update from VU+ Solo

    Hi all,

I'm looking to replace my ageing vu solo receiver with something a bit faster. It feels really sluggish on startup and only seems to come alive when I pull out the USB stick (which holds a swap file and epg data) and the network cable. Also streaming IPTV seems to stutter.

    I'd ideally like:
twin tuner (I'll have two dual lnbs feeds available)
    2.5" internal hdd capacity
the ability to play IPTV streams
not to have to use any external usb sticks for epg etc
    under £200

    I'm currently looking at:
    Technomate nano 2S
    VU+ solo2
    Gigablue HD Ultra

    Any other suggestions welcome. Thanks

You have put the Nano 2 Super on your list, but I'd spend a bit more and get the 3T Combo. You have a hybrid tuner that you can use for Terrestrial too.

I've just gone and purchased a vu+ solo 2. Had the ET8000/9500 come in black, I would have gone for that.

    Thanks
