DO NOT UPDATE PLi Image today 05/05/10

    Hi Guys,

Did a software update today and found that my vuduo crashes when I press the EPG button with a green screen. Looks like there is a bug in whatever they have updated so dont do it!

Anyone else had the same issue?

Is this the first time you have updated since 1st or 2nd of May?
It seems to be a problem if this is the case and the only thing i know of is to reflash your box, and then do an update.

Please correct me if I´m wrong, but I read about someother having problems updating around the beginning of May.

    Hi Berggren,

This is actually the first time ive updated since 1st May so this must explain why. No bother - I'll reflash my backup. God Bless the backup tool!

    All,

This has happened a few times in recent weeks.
Some daily updates require a full rebuild.
The downside is that you dont know this until you do the nightly build and it doesnt work.

Surely they could include some message in the download window that informs people that a full install is required to implement big changes instead of doing it and crashing.

Ive got caught twice now but luckily had an nfi backup

you have a fair point there. You'd have to be lucky to have taken a nfi backup of your image before messing it up.
