Sundtek USB Tuner to watch Cable channels

    Hi all,

I have got VU+ Solo2 and I trying to find if Sundtek MediaTV Pro (DVB-C/T/T2, FM-Radio, AnalogTV) is good to watch Cable channels? Is it worth buying? Which Image I need to use? I did use search but there are so many threads and I am confused which model of Sundtek I need to buy.

    Thanks for reading and replying.

    Cheers!

Why bother with sundtek. Vu have released a usb T2 /C tuner that u can use and more likely to run reliably with solo2

I used a sundtek cable tuner for over a year same one as you mention worked great, theres a sundtek control center plugin for it on the feeds on all images, its worth buying, my younger bro is still using it in my old solo2 clone and its never skipped a beat

Yes it would seem that the VU+ USB Turbo tuner is running more reliably since the last VU+ driver updates, and it would also seem that other company's USB sticks are not since the last VU+ driver update, strange that.

Sundtek DVB-C/T tuner is ok. It is working very well.
However it is a little more expensive than the VU+ USB tuner.
You get a RC and a small DVB-T antenna delivered with the Sundtek you will not use (waste of money).
One irritating thing with Sundtek is, when you do a reflash with restore, you always need to re-install (online) the Sundtek drivers again.
For a VU box, I should choose the Vu+ USB tuner.
    Vu+ Duo2, OpenVix, 3xdvb-c
    Vu+ SoloSE V2, OpenVix, 1xdvb-s2 , 1xdvb-c (Sundtek)
    Vu+ SoloSE V2, OpenVix, 1xdvb-c
    Vu+ SoloSE, OpenVix, 1xdvb-c
