    RCU with keyboard with VIX

I just received the remote control with keyboard and I have a Quad with VIX image (Hades) but I could not get working it for the standard RCU part (the front side) but the rear with keyboard is ok.
I understand the VIX image should be fine or I should use OpenMIPS image which I understand should be considered the one supported from Gigablue?
    Thanks

So what works? The qwerty keyboard or the other side of the remote? Is the remote a dedicated one for your receiver?

It's the official RCU with keyboard from Gigablue website:
    http://www.gigablue.de/portfolio-ite...-rcu-keyboard/

The keyboard side is working but the front side with standard buttons does not respond (but the led on the RCU is flashing).
I wonder if VIX image contains the same kernel and has the same hardware compatibility as the "official image" (OpenMIPS).
    Thanks

Should have the latest drivers unless there is a known issue with them. And the kernel will be the same too.

Thanks. It seems that it could be a programming issue. I don't have response also from the tv. I will repeat the procedure.
It's strange for me because I don't expect that the a setup should be required for the RCU with the Gigablue decoder but usually it should be required for TV, DVD etc.
It will be nice if somebody has experience with this RCU and can support me in case.

PS: I have checked using an AM radio (old time trick to test RCU!) and in effect I don't get any signal. Apparently the infrared transmitter is not working on the RCU even if the LED is flashing....
Bad luck! Then I'm contacting amazon for the replacement. I suppose there is not so much I can do for now.

    Hi..
I am also having a problem, but I may be missing something.. Did your rcu come with a usb wireless dongle, or did you use a purchased wifi dongle..
I have my giga connected by lan able, and a separate gigablu wifi dongle, (8192c chipset)..
I cannot get my keyboard to do anything at all.. yet the normal side of the remote works fine...

Any ideas where I am going wrong?

yes you should have the original wireless dongle which come with the RCU.
The dongle is needed for the keyboard side while the basic functions works with infrared.
