Way to use ABM so we get ITV HD and Channel 5 SD on their regular channel nubers?

    Hi,

Over the weekend I was flicking through my brother-in-law's VU+ and noticed he had ITV2, 3 and 4 in HD on their correct 118, 119 and 120 channel numbers. With our ABM setup at home we have the SD equivalents of the ITV channels on 118, 119 and 120. Thing is - brother-in-law's channel 105 is Channel 5 HD (bad), our channel 105 is swapped-out to Channel 5 SD (good).

Basically WE have Channel 5 SD on 105 but ITV2, 3 and 4 as SD on 118, 119 and 120
Brother-in-law's box has Channel 5 HD on 105 (which isn't clear) but he DOES have ITVs 2, 3 and 4 in HD on 118, 119 and 120.

I've tried various combination of settings within ABM to achieve Channel 5 SD on channel 105 and ITV 2,3 and 4 HD on 118, 119 and 120 without success. We either get the ITVs in HD on their correct numbers & Channel 5 HD on 105, or vice-versa.

Can what I'm trying be achieved?

    Thanks,

    Steve

Have you set your ABM Providers to custom ? - SkyUK:area Central Midlands Custom in my case. Then rescan.

Thanks for the reply. Currently we're configured with SkyUK > Area > Atherstone (Norfolk?) - is there also a 'custom' option available too?

    Cheers,

    Steve

Yes - Atherstone custom - just keep scrolling until you get to custom options.

Also enable HD swap. That s will also swap BBC 1 and ITV. Not all regions have simulcast versions.

I'm still a bit confused with this. At lunchtime I scrolled through all the available options in 'SkyUK > area' and SkyUK(SD) > aqrea' but could find no mention of 'Custom'. Attached is what our ABM setup looks like at present - we get Channel 5 SD on Ch.105 but ITV 2, 3 and 4 are the SD versions on 118, 119 and 120.

We can receive the ITVs in HD by going to whatever their other channel numbers are, but I'm trying to have my cake and eat it; Channel 5 SD on105 and the ITVs in HD on 118, 119 and 120.

    Cheers,

    Steve

When in ABM providers scroll down to Sly UK area and use the right arrow button on your remote until you come to Norfolk custom then press green ok. I also have Sly UK set to YES.

I'm sure I scrolled through every option in $ky UK and $ky UK(SD) areas, until I looped back round on myself and saw nothing about Custom....

When Hades was released, we incorporated the modifications, principles that ZoomZoomLuke introduced into the main xml. This meant we do not have to maintain more than one xml as well as other improvements.

the custom region is not available. On your I.age. You can still do it, you have to edit the xml just add the names to whitelisting section.

There have been changes to how swap works and to take advantage of those changes you need to update to Hades.
