Internet data usage - ABM, CrossEPG, AB 28.2E

Just wanted to understand how much data is downloaded from the internet by the following plugins/apps

CrossEPG
AutoBouquetMaker
AutoBouquet 28.2E by LraiZer

ot do they get ALL their data from a satellite Tuner?

For crossepg, it depends what you have set it up for.
OpenTV EPG data is downloaded from the satellite. Thsi is what a lot of peopel use for 28.2. Not all providers use OpenTV epg system.

You can also use the internet based option on it. They are listed in the providers menu of Cross EPG downloader as well as the image's xmltv downloader.

So I don't actually need t keep my enigma2 digibox connected to the internet if I am not using a Cam?

You don't need a connection to the internet. Softcams will read cards in thr card reader without an internet connection.

You'll only need the internet connecting if downloading plugins etc.
