    Question Automatic Volume Leveler

I just upgraded from a GigaBlue HD Quad+. One neat feature it had was the "Automatic Volume Leveler" (AVL) setting which kept the volume loudness pretty much normal so the volume doesn't become loud during adverts.

I noticed this feature is missing on the Mutant HD 2400 with the latest OpenVix image flashed. Was this feature on the GigaBlue implemented on a hardware level?

I also noticed no options for 3D Sound either compared to the GigaBlue. Was this a hardware feature too?

Are there any E2 plugins that do the same thing as AVL for other boxes like the Mutant? The Automatic Volume Adjustment plugin doesn't do the same. It just equalizes the volume between MPEG and AC3 sound streams and doesn't help with loud adverts.

    Hi,
I can only speak for VU+ but AVL and 3D-sound are options brought to the board by new driver. The plugins there only set values for the driver. So more or less it is a hardware thing.

    ciao
