Thinking of changing receivers from TM-Nano2 Super to Xtrend ET8000

Would anyone recommend to me changing from a Technomate TM-Nano2 Super to an Xtrend ET8000 from experience ?

The reason being is that I have had a Technomate Nano2 Super for a year now and quite often it will freeze whilst channel hopping or playing back recorded video and I am wondering if an Xtrend ET8000 would be more reliabile, has anyone had experience of an Xtrend ET8000 ?

I'm sure the problems are not related to images loaded on the box as this has been happening with various VIX images and 4D (OpenPLi based) images.

Can anyone recommend Xtrends, or other brands that might be more reliable than Technomate Nano2 Super's ?

Thanks Sicilian, have you used both the Xtrend and Technomate boxes before ? Did you have the same freezing problems with Technomate boxes ?

I have the ET10k and it is a superb receiver and the ET8000 should be just as good as it uses the same processor but has less Bell's and Whistle's than the ET10k, and like Sicilian says you should not be Disappointed

I have always had Xtrend and have found then to be really solid, with a company that continues to do their best to meet requirements such as driver support.
If you like a conventional (upto 3 tuners) then the 8000 is a super receiver, as is the Et10000 which has features such as transcoding and upto 4 tuners...... Or you could treat yourself to theless conventional (but obviously my favourite) the ET8500

The 8k has the BCM7241 @1300MHz 512MB Flash 1GB RAM; same processor as the VU Solo SE
The 10k has the BCM7424 @1300MHz 1GB Flash 2GB RAM; same processor as the VU DUO2

But doesn't the nano super 2 also have the same components as the solo2 from what I am led to believe.
I picked up a nano super 2 this week yet to try it out yet due to work commitments.
I certainly feels and looks less of a premium unit the build quality doesn't seem as premium as a vu+.
But as long as she has it under the hood so to speak then I'm happy.
For the first time ever I have left a vix image and gone to openatv, as I've read reports of sluggish/buggy UI.

TM Nano2S has BCM7356 @1300MHz 256MB Flash 1GB RAM, so same SoC as the VU Solo2.
