    openwebif -trouble streaming to laptop

    Hi Peeps
I can normally stream programme through openwebif but since upgraded to Hades I can open webif by putting ip address in but when I select a channel to stream my laptop opens player but nothing comes through.
But what does happen is that the channel changes to the one selected on tv. (I have a tm twin oe using latest Hades image.10)
    any thoughts or advise appreciated.

try saving the m3u file and using something like media player classic or vlc to see if it works there.

what browser are you using, you'll need to remove/change the association for m3u files.
If you're on 28.2(?) I can send you a link to the m3u file for BBC One.

    Try this

    create a file called stream.m3u
edit in notepad, and paste in the following changing the IP to be that of your E2 box.

    Code:
    #EXTM3U
    #EXTVLCOPT--http-reconnect=true
    #EXTINF:-1,BBC TWO
    #EXTVLCOPT:program=4287
    http://192.168.1.10:8001/1:0:1:10BF:1046:233A:EEEE0000:0:0:0:
Then double click on the file and see if it opens, and what it opens in.

You can also try opening the URL (after changing the IP in a media player of your choosing)
    This should stream BBC2

    I had a similar problem

Turns out the configuration of the box now required credentials to stream even though I did not have set it up to do so.
I'm replying from my phone. Edit the m3u file to put in your username and password
    Does that work?

Try opening the URL from within the m3u file directly in media player classic or vlc

thanks for info , I have downloaded VLC and happy to report woks fine with openwebif from my box.
but when I try the file hoping to see bbc2 I get the following message
" Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://192.168.1.74:8001/1:0:1:10BF:1046:233A:EEEE0000:0:0:0:'. Check the log for details."

but no problem has now able to stream once again through openwebif
