    EPG for remotestream plugin

    Hi

Is there a way to have the channel list or epg to show up when using the remotestream plug in.
Looking at the picture below, you can see that my epg is not being loaded.

I have tried linking the hardrive from the main receiver to share with my receiver but it does not seem to work.

If i want to link my hardrive form the streaming box( vusolo2) to the main box (xtrend 10000), what do i have to put in those settings because i followed everything correctly and yet when i go to movie location, i can not find my main receiver hardrive on there.

    I will keep trying
    Thanks

I pulled my hair out trying this setup between a solo2 main box and a nano in the bedroom...the only way i can get an epg is to run xmltv importer on the nano and the solo2 uses xmltv also, i choose 2 different times of the day.....i gave up trying to link the 2 boxes as the mount kept dropping and couldnt read the epg.dat from the solo2 on the nano.
Vu solo 2 motorised running vix ( always latest build).
Vu zero as a client using ChannelsImporter from solo 2 running VIX ( always latest build) . Abm, xmltv impoter for epg

    Install NFS on both boxes.
Have your server box download EPG to its HDD.
Mount the server HDD as replacement HDD on the client box & set the client box to read EPG (not download or save) maybe once a day 1/2 an hour after your server downloads it.

But then you also have to set the server to save the EPG say every hour or so; otherwise there's nothing to read but old data.

What do you mean install NFS.
    Is it an extension?
Is it even possible to watch recordings from another hardrive within the network?

so i have mounted the hardrive correctly i think

For mount using: I left in on AUTOFS (mount as needed)
    Active : enable
    Mount type : NFS share
Server IP : Main receiver ip address

I just can not get it to work.
I have even set up the Ushare thingy too.

I still keep getting error in the picture shown

Menu- setup- system- network- NFS (I think that's correct but I am not near a receiver to check) this will allow you to install NFS which is not installed in ViX by default, also do the same for SAMBA.

Rob, I had 2 boxs set up this way for 8 or 9 months last year without issue. Server downloads & writes EPG once a day, client reads that EPG once a day.

Something messed up with your mounts so. Mayb better off starting from scratch.
Also, no need to install Ushare or anything else unless you really need them.

So I don't have to install anything on the main receiver.
I set up everything I need on the client receiver right. I choose nfs share but I can't remember it installing anything. Is there a plug in or extension I have to download first.
I'll have another play again tonight
    Thanks

Then that is probably only Open-TV from Cross.
If you want all EPG to be used by the client, it should be done via the EPG save/read method. If you don't set epg.dat to be saved every xx-hours, the client box only read (sometimes months old) data.

Clicking on the headers for both Samba and NFS gives you the option to install them from the feeds (you must have a active internet connection obviously) best to install both plugins on both receivers.

So i am starting from scratch.
Which option do i pick for the mount using option:

    1)AUTOFS(mount as needed)
    2)FSTAB (Mount as boot)
    3)Enigma 2 (mount using enigma 2)
4)Enigma 2 old formate (mount using linux)

And does the section for local share name and server share name have to be exactly character correct for it to work.

One more thing that i should mention is that my box is connected via lan 2. That would not happen to be a problem would it?
