timer recording not stopping

first time i have seen no tuner free when switching on box,timer recording set at 12.57 and off at 02.05 and box was still recording loads of extra stuff on same channel when i switched it on this morning 597 mins of recordingall extra programs had red rec icon beside name.

and abm and epg set on automatic update,could these be the cause ?

As never seen something like that.

What does the timer settings show?

no i set it up on the epg to record at the usual time but clashed with another so next time it aired was at 1 am and finished at 2,many times i come down and see red light on but recording had finished and when box powered on i could see program.
when i set my recording i press red button for single epg select program green + green to confirm it showed 1 red icon to record and exit out.this morning i had 6+ red icons

abm is set to 1 am same as recordingwonder if that threw the box?

might try another late night early morning to see if i can get same result,hmm would webif access box locked in recording mode on timer

Daft question when you set the end time, did you change the date. Looks as if you've change the date and its recording everything within the 24 hr time bracket.

not changed any thing but i see what you said " 10.04.2015 23:57 - 12.04.2015 01:05 " bad eyesight and missed that but on original red icon it was only 1 red icon showing on box for 1 hr.next time i will see if it says 1 hr,thinking abm might screw settings up as it starts also at 1 might have to adjust for later running.

noticed it was still doing long recordings so stopped abm for 1 and moved to 4am update,next morning it was still recording.epg next to change to a later time.
