    Box will not boot

Hi everyone. I think I'm in big trouble and I need some help to solve my problem.
I've had my Nano 2 Super for about three weeks and has been working OK. I've got to grips with the satellite side of things, but internet/network side , I'm still trying to fathom. Today I went to 'Online Software Update' did a full backup and I downloaded the 71 updates available which I did not mean to do. I watched the on screen advice and waited for reboot. This took about an hour. But the box can't boot. What happens is the Technomate start up screen (the one with the little penguin right hand bottom corner) flashes on and off continuously without any further progress. I thought it might clear itself if I let it run. After one hour still the same. Can't do factory reset because box won't start and can't get into menus. These are the things I've done so far - AC power of and on - AC power off and remove all cables, wait five mins reconnect cables and power on - AC power off and power on while holding down menu button on box. THE BOX STILL WILL NOT go beyond flashing Technomate screen. The green light on the box stays on and does not flicker. The remote control does not operate anything. Now I don't know what to do apart from bin it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
