    Major Problems this morning please help

    Hi left my system last night it was perfect

    woke up this morning no channels only FTA so did the ususal reboot etc nothing kept getting this message
    No data on transponder (timeout reading pat) and SID not found in (PAT)

    so tried to install from my last back up it failed

    tried to scan new channels viz sign span then error came up

    so i just turned off at the mains for 10 minutes and its back on now
    apart from in my channels there is loads of sub folders like Movies Music etc absolutley loads

    my box is not 12 months old yet so could i be looking at a faulty box?

    Doubgtful it was a hardware fault, try reflashing the receiver again then setup.

    Hi

    With constant changes by broadcasters to transponders your satellite xml file maybe out of date that would give some of the messages sid not found,. as advised above a reflash of the image should sort things out also make sure you have not left the stb with no password access as this can leave you open to attack from cyber hackers if they happen to come across your box in search.
