    TSMedia Update Install Problems

    Hi,

I'm trying update my tsmedia from version 4.6 to the latest 6.5 but it just doesnt want to install.

I downloaded the enigma2-plugin-extensions-tsmedia-oe2.0_6.5_all.ipk to the tmp folder.
logged into the box through telnet
    typed - opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk
    wouldnt install

also tried to install through vix - install extensions
    wouldnt install either.
attached is the screen shot from this.

oh, and running opkg update doesnt work either.

    I have a vu solo2 running vix 3.0.808.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Well the opkg update command wont work because there are no longer any image feeds for ViX 3.0.

Update the image to a currently supported image first.

Thanks. The latest image appears to be Helios 0.17, is this correct?

If I download this and stick it on a usb and then install it will I lose all my settings and have to install everything else from scratch again?

What happened to Zeus by the way?

    ?
    Yes & yes.
Been covered many times on the forums though.
You can back up your channel lists using an app like DreamBox Edit.
Backup your cams & configs using ftp. These can easily be restored then after the image update.

There is a point. You want to use plugin feeds & tsmedia as stated in your OP.
Zeus & Helios backups can easily be restored in new images, so should only take a matter of minutes to be up and running again when a newer image is released.

The usual. System updates, bug fixes, some updated plugins, new skin from the creators of BlueHD, new AMB options...
