And then you enable the HD swap option which will place the HD terrestrial channels into the premium slots of 101 to 105 even with SD set as your providers regions.

Where is the HD Swap option now? It used to be in ABM and under providers. Can't see it in there now?

Penny has dropped. There is a filter for which regions do HD swap. Need to discuss with Andy.

Just speculation on my part though...
thats not what a sky manager told me yesterday when i called to discuss my subscription, to cut a long sorry sort there doing tests on HD channels now moving them one by one, should all be done by end of June/July, SD will also be all off by end of year, all the white boxes can be upgraded free of charge when they start to migrate over to new system, but again you have to sign the multiroom subscription for a 12 month contract (separate to the main subscription).

i was on the phone to a sky manager discussing all sorts yesterday, i was trying to get them to reactivate me on the old system. but i was told it is not possible as it is hardware dependent. thats why the need for new boxes. in the end i cancelled my subscription.

I only wish that my Virgin card would work in a Duo2 or similar with a cable Tuner fitted

Guys, the work has been done already. If using Vix, you will have to wait until Apollo is released .

Absolutely. But as long as the main channels, BBC1,2,3 & 4 are FTA my E2 box will be used. But if they would disappear, my complete TV/STB set will be leaving my home.

Just to add to this thread....

In my setup, I set generate Main Bouquet to "Custom Yes" in order to get 5ly numbering consistent in the sections bouquets - works well for this purpose, BUT with this set-up you lose the "SWAP HD" channels - I think because the original idea was for the "swap" to happen in the main bouquet (no longer in play with custom)?

Anyway IMHO, if you are using the above design feature for 5ly numbering consistency in the sections bouquets, I think there is good reason to think that you still would want to have "Yes / No" to Swap HD channels - especially for the "Entertainment" section.

What would need to be done to make that possible I wonder, new drivers from vu? Would it be a software or hardware issue preventing it? Any ideas?

So basically to get the free upgraded HD box you have to take a 12 month multiroom sub out, what a load of bull..... As if people are going to fawk out that if they do there stupid just adding more revenue to a already massive greedy company!!!

I for one will cancelling my sub once all the channels go... Just hope they last another 5 month or so until my contract runs out lol.

Dam sky and there bloody contracts!!!
