i was thinking something like this if it could be entered somewhere:
    replace:

    sky 1 hd:
    1:0:19:F15:7F1:2:11A0000:0:0:0
    with sd:
    1:0:1:125f:7ee:2:11a0000:0:0:0

    sky living hd:
    1:0:19:F1A:7D5:2:11A0000:0:0:0
    with sd:
    1:0:1:178C:7EE:2:11A0000:0:0:0

    sky atlantic hd:
    1:0:19:F0D:7F1:2:11A0000:0:0:0
    with sd:
    1:0:1:1268:7EE:2:11A0000:0:0:0

but i see Mr Abu has posted an xml, what do you hope this will do before i try it?

I didn't actually use the posted XML, I just found the channel swap edits he had done and pasted them into my own XML, I then rescanned abm and reloaded e2, now on all channels bouquet my HD channels are swapped except the recently disappeared ones that stay as sd.

Which 'channel swap edits' did you use? Any help would be great as I want to swap my HD channels with the SD ones. I also use ViX ABM.

    Thanks

A free to air HD ABM scan will be included in the next ViX release.
Mightn't be what you want now, but probably will be sooner rather than later...
For now, I'd look at the unofficial ABM scan pheonix links to above.

    I doubt it.
You'll have the option to create both, so free sat & cable, not a mismatch of both combined as that would be a nightmare to code for every possible provider/combination.

Don't have cable here to test. If you set your preffered provider as your main bouquet, I'd think that one would follow official providers numbers.
Everything else would be an addon number.

I only have a single tuner cable receiver. I suspect the numbering/ordering will be based in the order that you have your providers selected.

The Cable/DTT/Sat bouquets will be in your list of bouquets but not interfere with each other.

if you do not create sections, and only create main bouquets, and then enable the option for each bouquet to start at 1 (irc it is called 'Alternative numbering' in channels selection settings), then both bouquets should have correct numbering. ie both would start at 101
