Hi,

I hope someone can help with this really frustrating problem.

Running a VU Solo2 with Vix and connected to broadband via a Tenda W150m.

My internet connection drops quite often (separate issue) and each time it does so my Tenda loses its connection. The only way to get it reconnected again is to connect it to the PC and go through the set-up process again (even though all the settings are still there from the previous time). Then I reconnect it to my Solo2 and all is fine till the next connection drop.

To get round this I switched DHCP off at the Solo2 and set a static IP address 192.168.1.101 (in the Solo2 only, not the Tenda which has an IP of 192.168.2.1)

When I connect the Tenda back to the Solo2, I can see the Solo2 static IP in my router, so I bound that IP to the Solo2 to prevent anything else from using it.

Despite this, the Tenda will still randomly drop that IP and connect via a new IP..... even with DHCP being off, and it will no longer stay connected to the Solo2.

The MAC address I see in the router stats associated with 192.168.1.101 is the Tenda MAC..... never the Solo2 MAC address.

So what I need to do is somehow set-up the Tenda so that if my internect connection drops it will automatically reconnect without me having to set the whole thing up over and over again.

I'm wondering if this is an actual fault with the Tenda, or if somehow I've not set it up incorrectly because I've not read anything of anyone else with the same problems.

If someone can help I'd be really grateful..... any screen shots you need and I'll provide them.

Many thanks.
