So, this afternoon, I was building LO's bike ready for his birthday, and with the instructions that came with the bike, they were just a generic set of instructions ... Nothing showing you the picture of how the bike should look etc etc. So, thinking that the brakes should be the opposite way round to how they came on bike, I wanted to look at a picture. So, go inside to fetch the iPad, do a quick search, find picture, and yes, the brakes are the other side...

So, put the iPad down, go to change them over (just need to turn the frame the other way round, guess it was that way to fit in the box), and hear a crash. Yep, you know it, the fecking iPad fell down on to the floor. Hoping the case would've protected it, I go over, to find the cover of the case had fell open, and so it laded screen first on the floor. Only fell about 2 foot, but, dreading the worst, I go over to pick it up, and yes, a nice shattered screen!!!

So, just wondering if anyone knows how easy it is to change the screen on one of these?!

I've see the following options on ebay:

But, then I see:

and think I could save another 20 odd quid... But, how easy is it to do? Anyone done it before?! Would the quality of the repair be really bad? Also, dunno whether you can see from the picture easily or not, but the white area around the screen is quite badly smashed, so it sticks out at one level compared to the rest. As for the operation of the iPad, as long as you don't cut your hand on the glass, it all appears to work well... Sound, touch screen etc all working. So, hopefully just the glass that's smashed...

In a way, I'm not too fussed, as it's a work iPad, and I'm meant to be getting a new iPad air in the next few weeks... But, I'm dreading having to go back and tell them that I have a damaged iPad to give back! lol...
