    Newbie problem.

    Hi all

I have recently bought and set up (with the help of a friend) the VU+ Solo2 box. I am on build 748, version 3.0 and kernel 3.3.8

I must admit, I'm not sure which EPG guide I'm using. I am only getting the current and next programme on a few channels. I did try and change the time of the download to see if that would help but it didn't. I am a total newbie and did look at the sticky in this forum about how to set up a crossepg but I can't seem to get it working. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Sounds like you're not actually downloading the correct or any EPG sources.
    Which do you need?

Thank you all for you help. The tutorial was great. Step by step and worked a treat. FYI, the part I was missing out on was opening the tv providers and ticking the Sky box.

    Again, thank you.

LOL, will be the other way around: 'tune failed' leads to no import.......

    vu+duo2 with vix 3 build 765,kernel 3.3.8

What earlier posts are asking for is how you have set up CrossEPG. The line that starts "SIFTeam CrossEPG 0.6.2etc" just confirms you have CrossEPG loaded in your Duo2.

The above links give everything you need. A quick check. In OpenTv providers just have Astra2 on 28.2 ticked with a green tick - then press download (yellow).

If you get nothing then you have a communication problem. Test that in the Plugin Browser (long press blue) - download plug ins - if you get an error message it confirms you have a communication problem with your Duo2.

Astra 28.2 is ticked. On pressing orange download button "starting downloader" appears on screen but just hangs, before reverting back to open tv providers page.
Long press on blue button gives screen message "some plugins are not available,systemplugins/videomode('bestfit'),pressing ok button again brings up plugin browser screen.

Try again and say what happens. Cross EPG seems hit & miss lately.

But if you don't get the Install Plugins screen after you get into the Plugin Browsers screen and press green you must have a comms problem.
