It may well work with there vpn service but i does not with smart dns as i tired it sadly unless they have dramatically improved the speed on there middle east vpn your never going to be able to stream while its on.
Just a thought it may be an idea to get the Al Jaz app on your ipad/iphone and airplay it to your tv, it works well with my raspberry pi... Also I heard that with ADMC you didnt need to get any proxy.
Right, just just created an itunes account based in Egypt which is one of the MENA countries --> downloaded the al Jaz sport app ---> you can subscribe using the app these are the options
Al Jazeera sport channels +1 to +8 = AED 36.99 / month --- £7
Al Jazeera sport channels +1 to +8 = AED 184.99 / year ----£33
Al Jazeera sport channels +9, +10, HD1 and HD2 = AED 127.99 / year ----£23

Paul, where are you based? If outside of MENA, are you using a VPN? I'd like to set it up for my dad at home, but it's quite difficult as I can't test anything.
im using vpn from inside uk.Signed upto aljazeera and playing live channels with no problem until i stop vpn then it just freezes so i need to continue using a vpn.
Hilly try Astrill mate and use the openvpn Egypt server also read my previous post for settings this will enable to turn the vpn off but still keep the connection active in the background if you change the channel make sure you active the vpn then once you have the stream on again you can turn it off again.

Just a question to those that have subscribed, is it limited to a number of devices? I can't seem to find anything online about limitations.
if your talking about astrill you can use 1 at a time on the standard plan but you can pay £5 extra a month and you can have upto five on at anyone time its called the home plan
Ive now been blocked from signing into the aljazeera site.They have took my money and blocked me even with a vpn.
what settings are you using hilly what vpn etc
using hide my ass.saved email and password for jsc but just wont let me sign in anymore.
my take on things is that i signed up with an Egypt ip then hma has changed the ip when ive gone to sign back in even though its still an Egypt ip.

Ok ive never used hidemyass have you tries clearing your cookies dns etc sorry ionly use astrill vpn and it works perfectly
