I'm using it with Philips amBX Starter Kit.
If you want to use amBX you must
first install enigma2-plugin-extensions-atmolightd_0.3n_mipsel.ipk
then install libusb_0.1.12-r0_mipsel.ipk

it will probably break the info on 2nd ok press

i'll see about moving the info to the main info bar

edit: just looked 2nd infobar in magic and it looks like it show the event info anyway, so if you can confirm this is the only issue i'll it to the feeds.

The file "favorites" has to be edited by the user.

As I wrote before, this is what you have to do:

You have to create your own favourite list.
The file is here:

\usr\lib\enigma2\python\Plugins\Extensions\SHOUTca st\favorites

The radiochannels can be chosen at http://www.shoutcast.com/.
The parameters are written in the favorites-file like this example:

config.entriescount=28
config.Entries.0.text=Shoutcast Radio Stations
config.Entries.0.type=Choice
config.Entries.0.name=Favorite

config.Entries.1.text=http://yp.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=1276447

I am not sure I understand what you mean. Could you elaborate about what exactly you mean/want to be changed?
As originator of the Magic-skins I would like to know any issues, so I can correct them.

Yeah mate that's a workaround but that doesn't mean the plugin works properly. Would be much better if you can just browse stations off the box and play it straight away.

Yes, you are right. In Open Pli the genre-list can be downloaded and stations under them, but not the total station-list.
There are hundreds of radio stations. I find it more practical to select the ones I want with my PC and then create the favorite-file.
Favorite-file can be saved and used again after reflashing.
I have noticed that other bit rates than 128 are hardly audible. Therefore, it is easier do select only 128 bit rates and collect the favorite list among them.

Just add them to the "Autobackup configuration" and you are done for ever: after every flash all will be there again.

I suspect that autobackup on HDD will leave out the question of restore option when reflashing. Clean installation will be omitted. That will cause some problems. This has happened to me before I realized that I have to clean Vu+Duo HDD first. Better have files saved somewhere else separately.
