    "Tune Failed" error

    I've got a Vu+ Duo, only 6 weeks old.

It developed a problem today. A channel froze and a "Tune Fail" error message appeared. I was unable to obtain any channel after this.

I switched the box off & restarted but had the same problem.

A second box, upstairs, worked fine so I knew there was no problem with the dish.

I tried the Vu+ box on the upstairs feed. All seemed fine, so I double checked by cables downstairs, re-plugged the vu+ box downstairs and all good for a few hours.

Just went to change channel again and the "Tune Failed" error returned. I could get no picture to my tv- but the box is obviously sending to my tv as I can read the error message. I was also watching a second channel on my ipad - this carried on working fine. I could even change the channels on my ipad and they worked ok. But still get this "Tune fail" on my tv.

I've not changed any settings since setting up my box 6 weeks ago.

    Any advice gratefully received.

Can't be exactly the same (with the upstairs box etc). Please create your own thread and be specific about the problem and what you tried.

One thing is for sure: OP's problem has nothing to do with firmware, but with either the coax/F-connectors/LNB (also check corroded connectors) or the channel-list. Best use the satfinder to be more specific about which transponders fail (and it they're in a specific 'quadrant' (Hor/Ver-Low/High)).
