    Question What are Dreamboxes like?

    Hi,

I am looking at buying a Dreambox 800-SE HD box. What are they like compared with other boxes? Would you recommend this box, or should I look at other boxes instead?

    Thanks,

    James.

expencive is the short answer, surport also not what it used to be

your best bet, is dependant on budget, any of the E2 units some are dual tuners or triple tuners, for about the same money
    Units; VU+Ultimo/duo/DM800/7020HD/tm9100
    1.2 channel master/quad feedhorn/36volt /vbox
1 fixed dish, and 1 motorized 1mtr dish
and a pile of redundant cards/cams

As basilyoung has said.. They are pretty expensive.. and support is not as good as what it used to be..

Me personally.. I would go for one of the Technomates.. Either the TM Twin.. or the TM 2T..

You get 2 tuners with these 2 boxes.. as with the 800SE.. you only get one..

Also.. the 2 Technomates are each 100 quid cheaper.. and best of all you can put a Vix image on the Technomates..

You can see the TM Twin ...HERE...

    Or the TM 2T ...HERE...

Also.. If you send the sponsor a pm.. You will get a forum discount when buying from them..

Next day service as well is excellent..

The last two years DM's support was below zero. And above all: they went 'closed source', hence loosing real support from the world wide community. Wherever you look, you see disappointed DM-users (even those who were previously devoted) turning their back towards DM.

Help asked via PM will be ignored.
The forum is there for help and all will benefit from your questions.
NO CARD SHARING TALK WILL BE TOLERATED, LAN OR WAN, IN OPEN FORUM OR PM !

I would not call them expensive; I would say they were over priced with the competition.

If you want a single tuner, don't forget the TM Single.
