    vu+ solo2

Hi all. I've seen a number of Euro retailers, and even a couple UK onest offering the solo2 for pre-order, but no news from our forum sponsor.
Is there a price/release date from wos?

Until we receive a test unit we will not be offering these forsale and we will not be taking any pre-orders until we are more certain that the End of December delivery dates being quotated can actually be acheived.

Thanks for your response. Hopefully you can test the transcoding feature if you get a test unit.
That is the clincher for me.

Why do you think the Solo2 has transcoding functionality? I read that in the (preliminary) specs of the DUO2, not of the Solo2.
And the specs of the Solo2 are very similar to those of the GigaBlue Quad: that box also has no transcoding functionality.

The vu+ website and facebook fanpage all say that the solo2 will have transcoding to mobile devices.
Also all the retailers advertising preorder have this written in the specs.

Hmmm, you're correct, it says indeed 'transcoding for mobile devices' on the VU+ site. I must have overlooked that.
Well, I'm really anxious to see that in working order!

Gone will be the days of rushing home to catch the game, just watch it on my tablet.

Look at it from the bright side: this way the acknowledged that feature for the Solo2.
And the box has 1000Mb/s LAN........

I see wos have the solo2 for pre-order now. Does this mean that they put it through its paces?
Can anyone confirm if the transcoding function works or not?
    Thanks
