Just put it on my box and its brilliant. The left/right buttons work flawlessly with the picons still showing. However, when I press the up/down key it initially shows text of the channel name on the display until you press up/down again then it goes back into vfd picon mode. I know I'm being nitty gritty hear but its one tweak away from being perfect. Not sure if this is changeable though?

If not, no worries. Again, fantastic job mate!

yes the skin.xml file will be overwritten upon a update, rob may be able to better clarify but you may be able to create a skin_user.xml file that will not be overwritten on every update therefore keeping your customizations intact.

oh ye i forgot about the skin_user.xml
i used to use this for the picons on the dm800se oled, so it would never get overwritten.

tis a pita to keep having to re-upload the xml after an update.

    i'll take a look tonight.

thx for the heads up phoenix

also if anyone notices any regional variants not done lemme know
the same for any other picons aswell

I'm pretty sure if you put the skin_display_picon.xml into /etc/enigma2 then it won't be over written anyway.

if you put the existing one into /etc/enigma2
when you download an update wont the update put a new one in /usr/share/enigma2?

so after that will the one in /etc/enigma2 still be read instead of /usr/share/enigma2?

could anyone upload the default skin_display_picon.xml i dont have it to hand.

ive moved my edited skin_display_picon.xml to /etc/enigma2 and restarted and its worked.
i just need the original one to put back into /usr/share/enigma2 to see if it still works after an update.
