i can only select 28.2 on manual scans

there are no other sats avaialble.

some H channels work like this:-

Five works, Fiver and Five USA dont and there on the same H tp

i do think its a tuner setup issue but ive tried almost every setting i can think of

so this brings us back to signal strength or dodgy connection, but on an enigma 1 unit there are no issues?

as in if you get a piccy, but very poor then the tuner is working
also if you scan it does find the various channels, does it not?

are these free to air channels or encrypted??
if encrypted, is the card local, ie in the unit, or local network, if so there should be no problem
lastly you could try downloading a new channel list, direct from your unit, catseye listings are most likely best

thanks for your input mate, much appreciated
yep engima1 box works fine and the spiderbox 7000hd works fine too

when i do a scan it doenst pick up the channels but becuase i have them already in my listings i can try to view it.
channels are free to air and encrypted that is no problem as everything else on V works and decrypts.

i'll give the channel lists a go see if that helps

ive exhausted all my ideas, not sure what to do now, only got it today and have been messing around since it arrived this morning lol

i might have to get a sat installer / tech dude to have a look, dunno!

if you get a sat installer, be sure that cccam is not running

where are you based (not to accurate, public forum and all that)
there might be some one close by that can help

Maybe was just a case of the lnb cable not being connected corrrectly, or it could be some interference in the cable, in that some of the copper braid is loose or something?!

i have 2 cables both which are moulded on each end, i havent made them myself.(bought from b+q and maplins so maybe not the best quality) both give the same results, i connect them to the faceplate in my apartment and then to my box, i also have an inline amplifier aswell which is a slope 13-19.
the cable is run in some trunking along with quite a few other cables like cat6, speaker wire and a subwoofer cable. would these cause interference?

i wonder if a better quality cable would help, the run from the faceplate to the box is about 5 mtrs, but depending on how the apartments are wired from the multiswitch it could be up to 50 mtrs.

Bottom line is ...you are sorted ( for now )

strange one though, but suspect it was a poor connection and it was just co-insidental that it was the enigma 2 units

after testing all day i am still gettinga little glitching on some chans, now with one cable it wont recieve alot of channels. with the other cable they all come through but some can get glitchy now and then i wonder if its interference of some sort or the cable
