Right, it looks like your problem is that your usb drive is not being used as HDD so go back into mount manager (as first pic) and press the Red button to use it as hdd then reboot.
Also to check the free space on the drive go to menu>information>devices this will show total disk space and free space

When I press Red to Use as HDD the mount goes to NONE and the type UNAVAILABLE
Under the info the hdd says ( 249.999gb, -1 MB free )
Try pressing green to set up mounts and than manually pressing < > to change the mount to HDD. Make sure to save and just for good measure reboot the box.

in the same menu can you press the green button for setup mounts and set it as /media/hdd

Ok the hdd has space full now but when I go to record it still says disc full
Can you do another screenie please and go into HDD and try to initlaise it.
