    Hard drive full

I have formatted a 1tb hdd on the pc and deleted Volumn. Attached it to the Solo box, went to Setup-System-Harddisk-Initialisation.....Picked the harddrive and pressed red and yes. I get the error " NO DISPLAYABLE FILES FOUND". I have setup the record path to the hdd but when I go to record I get the error "WRITE ERROR WHILE RECORDING. DISK FULL".

What filesystem did you format he HDD?
If NFS: this is read-only for E2 boxes.
Best way is to have the box initialise (= format) the drive: that will be in the best format, i.e. Ext4.

But what was the filesystem? Converting will only work if it was Ext3.

Filesystem ........ERROR FILESYSTEM ( AND NOT SWAP OR UFS OR SOMETHING ELSE), THEN THE SUPERBLOCK IS CORRUPT, AND YOU MIGHT TRY RUNNING E2FSCK WITH AN ALTERNATE SUPERBLOCK.

    E2FSCK -B 8193 <DEVICE>

ok so the box can actually see it, put it back on the pc and repartition and full format as fat32 no need to delete volume afterwards, when you put it back on the solo check the drive can be seen in mount manager then go and initialise, bear in mind that 1TB will take quite a while to complete initialisation - do not attempt to do anything at all with the drive during this time.
Just out of interest which OS are you using on the PC ?

yes you can watch tv - reason I wanted to know the os is because I have had some problems recently with USB sticks not being recognised after formatting with win 7 but if I do the same procedure with an XP machine it all works fine first time - strange
