    iq webcontrol help

    my remote decided to die on me this morning , so i have had to use the iq webcontrol from my pc , however the remote control app on there doesnt work , i need to be ablet o restart my ccam by prssing blue button but it wont work .
    and cannot use my remote as that is dead . i dont have a universal remote to try so am relying on the "iq webcontrol"

    anyone know why it wont work ? ?

    why not telnet into the box & restart cccam that way.

    for future information how would i go about doing that , i know how to ftp into box but i don't believe i have ever telnet into the box .
    and once i done a full restart of the box my remote has risen from the dead

    you will need a telnet client to log into the box, depending on your operating system, putty is a decent one. a quick google should find it.
    once logged in, if using VIX just typing
    /usr/softcams/CCcam.2.3.0
    should restart it.
    Change the CCcam.2.3.0 if using a different version.
