Sports Traditionally, Rai 1 broadcasts only two sports, but they are the first and second most followed sports in Italy: football and Formula 1. Rai Uno usually broadcasts all the Italian national football team's matches, as well as the matches from important football competitions such as the World Cup and the European Championship. Starting from 2006, it has bought the rights to UEFA Champions League.
 Rai 1 has always broadcast Formula 1 races (excluding the first half of the 90s, when the rights were bought by the Mediaset group) with high shares. Its current rights expire in 2012.

Fair enough, i've never really watched other feeds except the uk broadcast ones because i've never had too (with the only exception being I used to watch F1 in Cinema feed as it was HD, and used ITV commentry).

I guess this year, it will be a whole new ball game, just hoping I can find some HD feeds and use 5 live for commentry on anything that isn't live on bbc.

I'm almost 100% sure that F1 is always broadcast on RAI.

I am not that worried about the audio the card is cheap for decent F1 viewing but my question is does the card require activation ? if yes how without the cam.
Will scam do the job ?

I'm pretty sure that I have activated my HD+ in my Solo with Scam, for my Sky / HD+ combi card in my Uno I had to use CCcam for activation.

Yes it does, or striaght into CCcam.

Tivusat cards once activated are lifetime.

An update : I ordered the HD+ card today and it should be here next week. I also downloaded Scam, FTP'd it to the VU+ and it's loaded. Should it not initialise the card, I'll be on here shouting for help!!
